About Me

Life has not been linear for me, every time I thought life was going to go a certain direction something happened that changed my path. I graduated from the University of Washington in 2005 with a BA in Communication and Scandinavian Studies-thinking I was going to be a news anchor. I didn’t want to work nights and weekends so I worked some odd jobs before becoming a flight attendant (and worked alllll the holidays and weekends, all nighters, etc.:). In 2008 I was furloughed from flying and obtained my Master Esthetician license with my time off. I love beauty and health so It was a dream come true. I got called back to flying a week before graduation. I could never let go of the dream of expanding what procedures I could perform with my license so I started working on prerequisites for nursing school while flying. In 2019, I graduated as a Registered Nurse with my Masters in Nursing to have the licensure to further my esthetic career. I’m celebrating my 16th year with my airline but my biggest accomplishments and most important passions in my life are my family; dream husband Phil, daughters Kirsten (6) and Veronika (3), who we are raising on our newly acquired farm in Washington state. I’m having a tough time balancing all of my passions and being a mom, but I’m learning hacks as I go. This blog is a place to gather my passions and share what I’m learning to make your life better and easier.
